1.Halloween Pumpkin Toss
Supplies You'll Need - 3-4 Pumpkin Buckets, Ping Pong Balls
How to Play - Line up the pumpkin buckets in a line going away from the starting line. Players have 60 seconds to try and get a ping pong ball into all the pumpkin buckets.
2. Ghost Cup Stacking
Supplies You’ll Need – 42 Solo Cups - Make it Halloween Themed by using white cups and adding eyes with marker to look like Ghosts.
How to Play – First, split cups into two groups (21 each) and have two players compete against each other. They have one minute to unstack the cups and create a pyramid, then restack the cups back into each other.
Use the timer on your phone for this and write down the time as they finish. When all the kids are done, look at the times to find a winner. Just add more cups if you want to have more than two kids compete.
Tip: When stacking cups up, don’t press them tightly together, or they can be hard to get apart.
3. Halloween Spider Races
Supplies You'll Need - A bag of plastic spiders, straws, and painter's tape.
How to Play - On a table, add a finish line on one side with painter's tape. If you use plastic spider rings, cut off the ring portion so that the spider can slide easily across a table. Place a bunch of spiders on the opposite side of the table from the painter's tape.
Line up players on each end of a table and give them a straw. Players have 60 seconds to use a straw to blow as many spiders as they can across the finish line. The winner has the most spiders across the line.
4. Witch's Hat Toss
Supplies You'll Need - Tall Witch's Hats, paper plates.
How to Play - Cut out the middle of a paper plate to create a ring to throw onto the witch's hat. Make 5 rings for every witch's hat you have.
Players line up across from their witch's hat and have sixty seconds to try and get as many rings onto the witch's hat as they can. The Winner is the first to get all five rings on the hat or the player who has the most after time is up.
5. Toilet Paper Mummy Wrap
Supplies You'll Need - Toilet Paper Rolls
How to Play - Break up the group into teams of 3. One player will be the mummy that gets wrapped up. The other two players have 1 minute to wrap the entire person with toilet paper to look like a mummy.
The first team to finish wrapping wins, or the team that has wrapped the most when the timer goes off, wins.
6. Eyeball Pong
Supplies You'll Need - Ping Pong Balls, Cups
How to Play - Line up cups on one side of a table like a pyramid. Give each player ping pong balls that they will try and bounce into the cups. We found fun eyeball ping pong balls at Dollar Tree!
7. Pumpkin Bowling
Supplies You'll Need - Small pumpkins and bowling pins or solo cups
How to Play - Line up bowling pins in the shape of a triangle on the floor for each player. Have the players stand across from the bowling pins. The players will then have 1 minute to roll the pumpkins and try and knock down as many bowling pins as they can.
The winner is the player who knocks down all the bowling pins first or has knocked down the most pins when the timer goes off.
Tip: If you don't have bowling pins, stack solo cups into a pyramid and use the pumpkins to knock them down.
8. Pumpkin Junk in the Trunk
Supplies You'll Need - Orange ping pong balls, empty tissue box, orange construction paper, belt or strong ribbon
How to Play – This is the most popular Minute to Win It game because it’s so funny to watch. To get ready, take a tissue box and cut a slit on each side to slide your belt or ribbon through to tie the box around a player’s waist. Then add in 10 orange ping pong balls.
When the timer starts, players shake and jump around to try and get the highest number of ping pong balls out of their box. It’s hilarious to watch.
Make it into a Christmas Junk in the Trunk for holiday parties.
9. Pumpkin Hula Hoop Toss
Supplies You'll Need - Pumpkins, Hula Hoops
How to Play - Line up a row of pumpkins and mark a spot for the kids to stand with a cone. Give each player 3 hula hoops that they need to toss over a pumpkin.
Make sure to leave space between pumpkins for the hula hoop to land.
10. Keep the Balloon Ghost Up
Supplies You'll Need - White balloons
How to Play - Give each player 3 white balloons that they need to keep up in the air for 60 seconds. If a balloon falls their out. The players still juggling the balloons after 1 minute, or who lasts the longest wins.
Tip: Make the game easier for younger kids by using only 2 balloons and harder for older kids, teens, and adults by adding a 4th balloon.
11. Suck It Up
Supplies You'll Need - Reese's Pieces candy or Halloween M&Ms, paper plates, straws
How to Play - Give each player an empty plate and a plate with 20 pieces of candy. They will then use a straw to suck up the candy and transfer it to the empty plate. 1st player to move all the candy wins!
12. Light as a Ghost
Supplies You’ll Need – White Feathers
How to Play: Players are each given a feather and have to keep it up in the air for 1 minute without using their hands.
13. Slime Stick It To You
Supplies You’ll Need – Green Sticky Notes (pretend ghost slime) or Orange for Pumpkin slime
How to Play – Players will need to team up for this one-minute challenge. One player will be given a stack of green sticky notes and will stick them all over their partner. Then they need to remove all the sticky notes before the one-minute time limit.
Tip: Give a smaller number of sticky notes to younger kids – 15, and a larger number to older kids – 40
14. Chopstick Pick Up
Supplies You’ll Need – A pair of chopsticks for each player, two paper plates for each team, and a bag of candy corn, miniature marshmallows, or orange pom poms.
How to Play – Give each team two plates with 20 pieces of candy or pom poms on one plate. Have the players move each piece of candy to the other plate using chopsticks in under a minute.
Tip: It is easier for younger kids to pick up squishy marshmallows or pom poms than hard candy corn with chopsticks. Create cheater chopsticks for younger kids by rolling the wrapper between two sticks and wrapping it with rubber bands.
15. Pumpkin Pick Up
Supplies You’ll Need– Orange Pom Poms, tweezers, two bowls per player
How to Play – Each player is given a bowl/plate full of orange Pom Poms, tweezers, and an empty bowl. They then have 1 minute to move as many Pom Poms with the tweezers over to the empty bowl as they can before the timer goes off.
The player with the most Pom Poms moved to the empty bowl wins.
16. Eyeball Cup and Roll
Supplies – Ping pong balls, plastic cups, and painter’s tape
How to Play – On a long table or desk, tape 2-5 plastic cups to hang off the edge of the table for each player. The goal of the game is to roll the ping pong balls across the table and into the hanging cup. Whichever player has the most ping pong balls in their cups at the end of a minute wins.
Tip: If you have limited space, use a different colored cup for each player and just tape one cup for each player to the end of a table. The player will then aim for their own plastic cups.
17. Cookie Face
Supplies You’ll Need – Halloween Oreo Cookies
How to Play – Players place the Halloween cookie on their forehead and their hands behind their backs. They have one minute to try and get the cookie into their mouth without using their hands.
18. Tricky Stickers
Supplies You'll Need - Hershey Kisses, Round Halloween Stickers
How to Play - Start by placing Halloween stickers on the bottom of 20 Hershey Kisses. In the middle of a table, place 20 Hershey Kisses with stickers and 20 without stickers.
Players will face off across from each other with kisses in between. When the timer starts, players have 60 seconds to find as many matching Hershey Kisses stickers as they can.
If they pick a kiss without stickers, they put it back in the middle. Only taking out the kisses with stickers and placing them on their side.
The winner is the player with the most Hershey kisses with matching stickers on them after the one-minute timer is up.
19. Candy Corn Stand UP
Supplies You'll Need - Bag of Candy Corn
How to Play - Each player is given a pile of Candy Corn. When the timer starts, players try to stand up as many Candy Corn pieces as they can before time is up.
20. The Vampire Takes a Bite
Supplies You'll Need - Vampire Teeth, Marshmallows, Paper Bowl
How to Play - Players put the vampire teeth in their mouth and have 1 minute to try and bite the marshmallows and move as many as they can into the paper bowl.
21. Pop the Balloon Ghost
Supplies You'll Need - White Balloons (if you have other colors, they can be Halloween monsters)
How to Play - In the middle of the room, place balloons that you have blown up. When the timer starts, the player will race to the balloons and try to sit on, or stomp the balloons to pop the Ghost or Monster.
Players who pop the most ghosts after 60 seconds win.
22. Graveyard Robber
Supplies You'll Need - Crushed Oreos, Gummy Eyes, Gummy Worms for Fingers, plastic spoons
How to Play - Fill bowls with crushed up Oreos for your dirt. Hide in the "dirt" the gummy eyes and cut gummy worms for fingers. Give each player a plastic spoon to put in between their teeth.
Players have 1 minute to try and use the plastic spoon to scoop out as many "body parts" as they can.
23. Eyeball Relay Race
Supplies You'll Need - Large Wooden Spoons, Plastic Eyeballs or Ping Pong Balls
How to Play - This is a team game with 2 players competing against other relay teams.
First, set up the game by giving each team a wooden spoon and an eyeball. If you are using ping pong balls, use a black marker to draw an eyeball. Set up a starting line with painter's tape on the floor and set a chair across the way from each team.
When the timer starts, the first player will race around the chair while balancing the eyeball on the spoon. Then they pass the eyeball onto their teammates' wooden spoon.
The second player then races around the chair and back to the starting line. The first team back wins.
24. Frankenstein Race
Supplies You'll Need - Large Shoes that are bigger than the player's feet
How to Play - Each player wears a pair of shoes that is way too big for them. Create a track for the players to run around the room. When the timer starts, players race in the large shoes through the track and back to the starting line. First player back wins.
25. Pumpkin Balance
Supplies You'll Need - Popsicle Sticks, Pumpkin Candies
How to Play - Give each player 4 pumpkin candies and a popsicle stick that they'll place between their teeth. Players have 1 minute to try and get 4 pumpkin candies to balance on the popsicle stick. First to do this wins.
26. Spider Web Maze Race
Supplies You'll Need - Painter's Tape, White Streamers
How to Play - In a hallway, tape white streamers (spider webs) across the walls at different angles like a laser maze. Players have one minute to race through the spider webs without pulling any off the walls and get back to the starting line.
Time the players as they race, and the player with the best time wins.
27. Pumpkin Seed Spit
Supplies You'll Need - Pumpkin Seeds, Measuring Tape
How to Play - Players are given a handful of pumpkin seeds. Players have 60 seconds to spit the pumpkin seeds as far as they can. When times up, measure the furthest pumpkin seed and mark it down for each player. Whoever spits the seed furthest wins.
28. Haunted House
Supplies You'll Need - Graham Crackers, Frosting, Halloween Candies
How to Play - Players have 1 minute to build a Haunted house with the graham crackers using the frosting and decorating with the Halloween candies. The most creative haunted house after 1 minute wins.
29. Pumpkin Bounce
Supplies You'll Need - Orange or Eyeball Ping Pong Balls, Empty Egg Cartons
How to Play - On a table, place an empty egg carton across from each player. Players have 1 minute to try and bounce the pumpkin (orange ping pong ball) into the egg carton. Whichever player has the most ping pong balls in the egg carton when time is up wins.
30. Pumpkin Catch
Supplies You'll Need - Candy Pumpkins, Solo Cups
How to Play - This is a team game with 2 players on each team. Teammates stand across from each other with one holding a solo cup and the other a bowl of candy pumpkins. Players have 1 minute to try and toss as many pumpkins into the cup as they can.
The team with the most pumpkins in their cup wins.
31. Bone Stacking
Supplies You'll Need - Cotton Balls
How to Play - Try to stack up as many cotton balls (bones) as you can before the time is up. Do this kind of like a Jenga game with a base and stacking higher onto the pile.
The player with the most cotton balls stacked without falling when the 60-second timer goes off wins.
32. Halloween Puzzle Race
Supplies You'll Need - Small Halloween Puzzle For Each Player
How to Play - When the timer starts, players need to put together their Halloween puzzle. The first to finish wins.
33. Candy Sort
Supplies You'll Need - 5 different Halloween Candies
How to Play - Each player is given a large bowl of candy with all 5 different types of candies. Players have one minute to sort as many candies into their type as they can before the timer is up. When time is up, count how many candies were sorted to find the winner.
34. Witch's Broom
Supplies You'll Need - Brooms and Small Pumpkins
How to Play - Create a starting line and finishing line with painter's tape on the floor. When the timer starts, players need to be the first player to sweep their pumpkin across the finish line.
35. Cauldron Toss
Supplies You'll Need - Bean Bags, Large Black Cauldron, or black bucket
How to Play - Line up the cauldrons across from each player. Players then have 60 seconds to toss as many bean bags as they can into their cauldron. The player with the most bean bags in the bucket wins.
36. Glow Race
Supplies You'll Need - Glow Necklaces
How to Play- Players have 60 seconds to attach as many glow necklaces to each other before the time is up. Winner has the most necklaces attached.
37. Find the Hidden Spider
Supplies You'll Need - Plastic spider, Paper Cups
How to Play - Place 20 solo cups on a table and hide a spider under one cup. Players have 1 minute to try and find the hidden spider. Write down the time each player finds the spider, and the player with the quickest time wins.
38. Stuff a Scarecrow
Supplies You'll Need - Newspaper, long-sleeve shirts, pants, rope
How to Play - Tie off the arms of a shirt and the legs of the pants with the rope. Players will have 1 minute to stuff the Scarecow (pants and shirt) with newspaper. The player with the best stuffed scarecrow wins.
39. Swat the Ghost
Supplies You'll Need - White Balloon, Fly Swatter
How to Play - Players place one hand behind their back and hold a fly swatter in the other hand. They then must keep a white balloon (draw a ghost face on balloon) up in the air for 1 minute.
40. Creepy Guess
Supplies You'll Need - Large Black Cauldron (or bucket), Cooked Spaghetti, Plastic Spiders, Eye Balls, Gummy Worms, Peeled Grapes, Candy Corn - Blind fold
How to Play - Players are blind folded and will reach into the cauldron and see how many items they can pull out and name correctly. The player who names the most items correctly in 60 seconds wins.
41. Pumpkin Patch
Supplies You'll Need - 10 Small Plastic Pumpkins
How to Play - Hide 10 small plastic pumpkins around the room. Players have 1 minute to find all 10 pumpkins.
42. Candy Wrap
Supplies You'll Need - Wrapped Halloween Candy
How to Play - Place a pile of wrapped Halloween candy in front of each player. They have 1 minute to unwarp as many pieces of candy as they can before the time is up.
The player with the most unwrapped candy wins.
43. Flying Eyeball
Supplies You'll Need - Plastic Spoons, Plastic Eyeballs or White Ping Pong Balls
How to Play - Players will pull back on their plastic spoon with the ping pong ball on it and try to shoot it across the room. Players who fling the eyeballs the furthest win.
44. Hungry Zombie
Supplies You'll Need - Paper Plates, Whipped Cream, gummy worms
How to Play - Players are each given a plate with whipped cream and hidden gummy worms. They place their hands behind their back and use their mouth to try and pull out as many gummy worms as they can before the 60 seconds are up.
45. Bat Race
Supplies You'll Need - Cut out Bats from Black Paper
How to Play - Tape the bat shapes on the floor spaced out across the room. Players have 1 minute to hop on one foot onto each bat shape to get to the other side of the room. Check the time each player finishes. Best time wins!
46. Draw a Monster Face
Supplies You'll Need - Pencils or Crayons and Paper
How to Play - Players have 1 minute to draw a monster with their non-dominant hand. The player with the most detailed picture after 1 minute wins.
