Massanutten Accommodations

There is a wide variety of room choices at Massanutten Resort. You can choose from a hotel room, townhouse, condo or even a home. We stayed at Woodstone in a two-bedroom condo. This was perfect for a family of four and even had the option of a pullout couch for an extra person.

We liked having the kitchen as an option over the hotel room so we could make breakfast and pack lunches when we went hiking in nearby Shenandoah National Park.

Activities at Massanutten Resort

As I mentioned before there are tons of fun things to do for every age and season at Massanutten Resort. To make this guide easier I am breaking it down by season and all year round activities.

Winter Activities

Winter Skiing and activities at Massanutten Resort

If you like winter activities then you’ll love being on a Mountain. Here you can find all the cold and snowy adventures you are looking for.

Skiing and Snowboarding

The Ski Mountain is at a height of 2,922 ft. of elevation. There are 14 different ski runs and 7 chair lifts. Plus a dedicated area for beginners, terrain parks and nighttime skiing. You’ll find run levels from Green for beginners to Black Diamonds for experts.

Ski classes are offered to help beginners or those who just want to improve.

There is a Ski Lodge where you can get grab and go food or choose the sit-down restaurant option when you need a longer break. The Lodge also has a 5,000 square ft. patio and weekly entertainment.

Ice Skating

Massanutten has it’s own ice skating rink called the Rink at Massanutten. It is located right outside the Massanutten Fitness & Rec Club. You can rent skates here and even take a skating lesson.

Snow Tubbing

The Family Adventure Park offers Snow Tubbing for the whole family. There are 16 lanes that offer a thrilling ride everyone will enjoy. You can go down on your own or link up with friends and kids to ride together.

When you get to the bottom there are two conveyor lifts to bring you back up to the top to ride again. No need to waste energy carrying a child back up to go again.

Indoor WaterPark

Massanutten offers an indoor water park for the kids to splash and play. Here you’ll find 8 slides, lazy rivers, a water-powered playhouse, pool to swim and hot tub. Kids can even learn to surf.

It’s not a huge waterpark but great for the winter months when you’re stuck inside. I would probably recommend this more for kids under 12 as the older ones might get bored.

Diamond Jim’s Arcade

Located at the Indoor Waterpark is a big arcade area. You’ll find a mix of the latest arcade games and classic redemption games. You know the kids love to earn some tickets to win a prize.
