Great Eggs
A new addition to the Lake Geneva downtown is the Great Egg. This is a quick drop-in place rather than a sit-down restaurant. Grab a coffee, fruit smoothie or their gourmet egg wraps and take it down to the nearby lakefront for a beautiful view. Or enjoy your coffee while you stroll the local Lake Geneva shops.

Oakfire Pizza

This delicious woodfire pizza restaurant is a favorite of ours. They use their woodfire grill to make unique sandwiches and pizzas. They also serve great salads and have a kids menu.
Oakfire is located right across the street from the lake and has nice views. In the warmer months, they have outside seating overlooking the lake and open up the garage door style windows to let the breeze in. Great place for dinner or just a glass of wine and appetizer too.

Popeye’s Restaurant

Popeye’s Restaurant has been a Lake Geneva staple since 1972. Located right across from the lake you’ll find good views and a large outdoor seating area. This is the place to come for Lake Geneva tradition and a great burger. They have a big menu so you’re sure to find something to please everyone in your party.

This upscale restaurant offers views over the golf course at Grand Geneva Resort. This would be a perfect place for a date night. Advanced reservations are recommended for this restaurant.

The Grandview Restaurant
At The Geneva Inn, you will find The Grandview Restaurant know for its outstanding views of Lake Geneva. Here you’ll find a seasonally inspired menu that offers high-end surf and turf dishes and classic Wisconsin Favorites. If your looking for a memorable meal this is the place you want to go.
They are also a great place for a more casual lunch or glass of wine. I would suggest getting reservations for dinner before you go.

Sopra Bistro

Located in Downtown Lake Geneva Sopra Bistro is a delicious Italian restaurant. While not as upscale as the Grandview Restaurant it makes up for it with excellent food. We absolutely loved the gnocchi dish and their very inviting laid back atmosphere. If it’s a nice night sit outside and watch the people go by as you enjoy dinner.

Baker House

The Baker House was built n 1885 and brings visitors back to what it was like in the Gilded Age of Lake Geneva. They offer vintage glamor and beautiful views of the lake. Guests can get into the theme by wearing one of the many vintage hats hanging on the walls.
This site does not offer food and drinks every day. Here is the current schedule but check the website below to double-check before you go.
Wed – Thursday it’s a Lakefront Lounge from 5-9 pm out on the expansive lawn overlooking the lake and inside the home. In the Summer Months, there is live entertainment at the Lakefront Lounge.
Friday – Saturday – They offer a prix fixe menu for dinner featuring steak, lobster and shrimp boil. Plus their Lakefront Lounge from 5-11 pm
Sunday – A Champagne Brunch with each room in the downstairs offering different brunch items such as an omelet station, a mix of breakfast and lunch fare, salads and delicious desserts.
On girl’s weekend getaway, we attending the brunch and it was a real highlight of our trip. We all enjoyed looking around the historic home and feeling like we were back in the heyday of Lake Geneva.

Wine Bars
Barrique Bistro & Wine Bar

This cute little bistro and wine bar are located right across the street from the lakefront. Here guests can choose from a large list of wine and beer or enjoy a flight of wine. For food, they offer several small plate choices, salads, seafood, sandwiches, and desserts. We found it to be a perfect place to stop after dinner for a flight of wine and dessert.

The Bottle Shop
The Bottle Shop is a cute wine shop in Downtown Lake Geneva. They have over 800 unique wines and 50+ Craft Beers. Guests can enjoy a wine tasting with knowledgeable staff or sit down on their patio to enjoy a flight of wine or beers.
They do have small cheese platters but not much else for food. This would not be a spot to stop for a meal. But if you just want to relax and chat with friends this is the place to go.
Tip: On Saturday Afternoon they offer free wine tasting.

Scoops Ice Cream & Deli

We love this little ice cream shop in downtown Lake Geneva. Scoops has tons of unique flavors of ice cream to choose from. It’s the perfect place to grab an ice cream and take it to stroll the streets of downtown or along the lake. It gets pretty busy in the summer months but worth the wait.
