Our family loved visiting Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello Plantation. Here history comes alive as you walk through his home, learn about the slaves that live on the plantation and stroll the beautiful gardens.

There are tons of family-friendly activities too. Take a family guided tour of the home geared toward keeping the kids engaged. Then play games from Jefferson’s time, create secret codes and use a telegraph machine in the Griffin Discovery Room.
