These chain restaurants offer free kids’ meals so you can still enjoy the fun of eating out as a whole family without going broke. The offers vary from daily deals to a certain day of the week. Such as every Tuesday Night.
I’ve verified all the deals at the time of writing this article. So keep reading so you’ll know where to find the best deal and get your family eating out guilt-free.

When & Where Kids Eat Free at Local Restaurants
Let’s start planning which day of the week you don’t have to cook dinner. I am sure you deserve a break from cooking and who doesn’t love to eat out. Plus the kids will be super excited about eating their free kids meal.
Most restaurants on the list require an adult entree purchase to qualify for the free meal and have an age limit of 12 and under.
Look through this list of restaurants to see what the free deals entail and get ready for a great deal.
Tip: Many of these restaurants have rewards clubs and will email you coupons to use throughout the year when you sign up too.
Each of these deals is subject to change so make sure to check with your local restaurant before you go to verify it’s available. Deals can vary depending on location and ownership.
Applebee’s
At your local Applebee’s they offer free kids meals on certain days of the week with an adult meal purchase. Check with your local Applebee’s to see what days they offer this deal.
Bob Evans
You’ll find free Tuesdays kids meals after 4 pm with the purchase of an adult entree. I couldn’t find this on Bob Evan’s website but when I called the restaurant they confirmed the free food.
Chili’s
Chili’s Rewards Members can receive free kids’ meal offers to be used in restaurants or carryout orders.
Denny’s
Kids eat free at Denny’s with an adult entrée purchase of $6 or more. The day and participation vary by location so make sure to check your Denny’s location before you go.
Dickey’s Barbecue Pit
At this BBQ restaurant kids, 12 and under eat free every Sunday with a minimum purchase of $10.00. Only one free kid’s meal per check. Dickey’s Barbecue Pit
Famous Dave’s
Every Tuesday kids can enjoy a Lil Wilbur kids meal with the purchase of an adult entrée at Famous Dave’s.
Fogo de Chao
At Fogo De Chao Children 6 years of age and younger eat free every day with the purchase of an adult entree.
Don’t worry there is a kids meal deal for children ages 7- 12 years old too. They will get half-priced meals every day with the purchase of an adult meal at participating restaurants.
Luby’s Restaurant
If you’re in Texas at Luby’s Restaurant they offer a free kid’s meal on Wednesdays and Saturdays at participating locations for kids 12 and under.
Moe’s Southwest Grill
If you like Mexican restaurants head to Moe’s Southwest Grill for a free kids’ meal for kids 12 or younger with an adult purchase. You can also use this deal on a take-out order.
Red Robin
The first Wednesday of every month at Red Robins it’s Kid’s night from 5-8 pm. Kids will get a free kid’s meal, kids’ free sundae, and a tabletop game with any adult entrée purchase at participating restaurants.
Ruby Tuesday
All kids eat free after 5 pm on Tuesday Nights at Ruby Tuesday with the purchase of an adult meal at participating restaurants.
Steak ‘n Shake
Every Saturday and Sunday select locations of Steak ‘n Shake offer free kids’ meals with an adult purchase of $9.00 or more. Plus 1/2 priced happy hour from 2- 4 pm for Shakes on weekdays.
Limited Time Deals & Kids’ Meal Deals
Chevy’s Fresh Mex
Wednesday is kid’s night at Chevy’s Fresh Mex. You can get a kid’s meal for $1 with the purchase of a regular adult meal at participating restaurants.
Firehouse Subs
Sign up for their Free Kids meal for your child’s birthday at Firehouse Subs. Some locations offer on Wednesdays or Sundays two free kids combos with the purchase of one large or medium adult combo.
Culvers
With every kid’s meal purchase at Culver’s, you get a Scoopie Token. When you collect 10 of these you will get a free kids meal. Ten may seem like a lot but if you have more than one child it will not take long. Also, each kid’s meal has a free ice cream scoop.
IHOP Restaurants
You used to be able to get Free Meals for kids at IHOP but at almost all of their locations, they have done away with this promotion. However, if you sign up for their rewards program you can get free pancakes for your birthday. IHOP Rewards
Red Lobster
For a limited time, Red Lobster is offering free kids meals on Tuesdays with an adult entrée at participating locations.
Sweet Tomatoes or Souplantation
Look for their coupons offering a free buffet for kids with the purchase of an adult buffet. Sign up for their Veg Club and they’ll email you coupons.
Restaurants That No Longer Offer Free Meals
The following restaurants used to offer free kid’s meals but no longer do. I mention these restaurants because I think they will come back. I would keep checking them for specials & coupons.
