Lazy People’s Favorite DIY Cleaning Hacks
Are you ready to start making cleaning easy? Let’s get started with these genius DIY cleaning hacks for your home.
Cleaning Hacks for Bathrooms
Get the scum and grime off your shower doors by using a cooktop cleaner. Weird I know but it works. Wet your shower door then put some cooktop cleaner on a rag, sponge, or paper towel. Wipe the rag over the doors to remove all the grim.
If you have a lot of grim try using a scrub brush too. When done remove any excess cleaner with a paper towel. Or if it’s inside the shower you can spray it down with water.
Remover calcium build up from your shower head with vinegar. Fill a bag with vinegar and attach it to your shower head with a rubber band. Make sure the vinegar is touching the shower head.
Let the vinegar sit overnight. Then in the morning wipe it down with a cleaning cloth. That’s It!
Cleaning the Grout
To clean the smaller areas of grout between your tiles use an old toothbrush. Make a cleaner by mixing baking soda and water to get a paste consistency.
Next, dip your toothbrush into the baking soda mixture and rub it over your grout. When you’re done wipe down the tiles with a wet cloth or spray it down with water in your shower.
TIP: If you have an electric toothbrush it will work even better to get the grim out.
Help your bathroom smell good by adding essential oils to the inside of your toilet paper roll. Before you put on a new roll add a couple of drops of your favorite essential oil to the inside of the cardboard core.
Get rid of the mineral build up and water spots by rubbing a half a lemon on your bathroom faucet.
Hard Water Toilet Bowl
If you have hard water stains in your toilet bowl get it out using white vinegar. To make it easier add the white vinegar to an empty spray bottle. I buy both these items at Dollar Tree and it’s really cheap.
Then spray the toilet bowl and leave it for an hour or overnight if it’s really bad. When done scrub it down with a toilet brush.
